Terms of Service

Welcome to Ubale (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ubale mobile application and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Ubale under the laws of the Republic of Malawi, including the Electronic Transactions and Cyber Security Act 2016 and the Malawi Data Protection Act 2024.

1. Eligibility

You may only use Ubale if you are at least 18 years of age, legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Malawian law, not prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law, and not previously permanently banned from Ubale.

2. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service respectfully and lawfully. Harassment, hate speech, fake profiles, impersonation, external contact sharing, spam, abuse, illegal activity, or platform abuse is prohibited and may result in suspension or permanent termination.

3. Service Features

Ubale includes daily profile limits, message shots, mutual matching, Tribes, QR code matching, voice calls, messaging, and other interaction features. These features are designed to encourage meaningful and respectful connections.

4. Moderation and Enforcement

We may suspend or permanently ban your account if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful behaviour. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement decisions are at our sole discretion.

5. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days unless you cancel the deletion during the grace period.

6. Disclaimer and Liability

The Service is provided as-is and as-available without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ubale is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or interactions with other users.
